Luigi Azzola 4/4 Violin
$18,000.00
This exquisite full sized 4/4 violin was made by Luigi Azzola in Turin, Italy during the early to mid 20th century. Luigi Azzola (b. 1883 – c. 1973) was considered a follower of Annibale Fagnola, a prolific and notable copyist of Pressenda. The splendid craftsmanship of Azzola shines through his careful work on this violin. The beautiful flaming on the solid single piece back is complimented by the reddish-orange varnish and framed by intricate purfling. The string set selected for this instrument’s mature and complex sonorous properties includes dominant G, D, and A, and a Larsen E string.
