One of the cellos co-made by Yanbing Chen won the Silver Medal for Tone, the highest honor of its kind at The Violin Society of America’s International
Violin Making Competition. Established in 1995, the Y. Chen studio models itself after the small family workshops of 17th century Italy. It combines old-
world craftsmanship with an acute understanding of the modern musician. Praised for their exceptional power and tone quality, Y. Chen cellos are highly
regarded, owned, and played by many international soloists and distinguished pedagogues including Li-Wei Qin, David Finckel, Paul Katz, Richard Aaron,
Nerek Hakhnazaryan, and Nicholas Tsavaras.

The carbon fiber bows have one of the best bow warranties around. Both the stick and mechanical parts by the frog are covered for 5 years should anything go wrong. The hair is covered for 3 months and the wood wedge (at the tip) 12 months.
